Want fewer problems with your shutters?

With maintenance performed at least twice a year, you’ll prevent corrosion, misalignment, and hardware failures—saving yourself time, stress, and costly repairs.

Nearly 70% of service calls come from lack of routine maintenance.
A little upkeep—cleaning, checking for damage, and lubricating moving parts—goes a long way.

The Importance of Servicing Your Hurricane Shutters Every 6 Months

Make it

Rolldowns

Wash shutters with mild soap and water to clear dirt and bugs.
After they dry, lubricate the tracks (side to side)

This keeps them moving smoothly and extends their lifespan.

Avoid using any chemicals on the shutters, especially on the screens.

Chemicals can stain the fabric, potentially causing permanent damage. For cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution mentioned above

Screens

Close the curtain/fabric fully, then wash with soapy water and rinse.
After drying, spray silicone lubricant in the side tracks.
For roll-downs, you can reopen once finished.

Never roll up while wet—this traps moisture and can cause mold, mildew, fabric wrinkles, or electrical issues.

Wait until completely dry before rolling up.
