Yes, we charge a service fee of $175. This fee covers sending our technicians to your location, evaluating the issue, and determining the best way to fix it. If the technicians have the necessary parts on hand, they can complete the repair on the same day, and the $175 service fee will be deducted from the total cost of the work. If the repair cannot be completed the same day and you choose to proceed with the service, we will schedule a return visit, and the service fee will still be deducted from the final work cost.
We may charge a distance fee depending on the location radius. This fee helps cover additional transportation and travel expenses for service areas outside our standard coverage zone. Please contact us for specific details related to your location.

If your remote has stopped working, it may simply need a battery replacement. It's uncommon for remotes to be defective, but in the rare event that yours is, we will replace it and reprogram it under warranty.
If you would like an additional remote, one is available for an extra charge—please contact us by phone or email to order.
Keep in mind, even if the battery is low, the remote's signal will be weak and may not reach the motor properly. Before contacting us, please ensure you have installed fresh batteries. If the issue persists after this, feel free to reach out for assistance.

Not necessarily. If your roll-down shutter is stuck, it could be due to several reasons often related to user operation. Ensure your remote is pointed correctly and that you are on the right channel corresponding to the shutter you wish to open or close. Also, avoid holding down buttons continuously or pressing the same button repeatedly, this can cause damage to the motor. Excessive use can overheat the motor, causing it to stop and enter a cool-down phase. Persistently pressing the button during this time can override the safety mechanism and potentially damage the motor and shutter.
If the shutter is stuck halfway, check for debris in the tracks. This is not considered a defect but a maintenance issue; regular cleaning a few times a year helps keep the system functioning smoothly. For accordion-style shutters, being stuck usually indicates the need for maintenance as well.
Should you discover any electrical or aluminum components that appear defective, please contact us to schedule a warranty service call for part replacement.
If your shutter is stuck, do not attempt to fix it yourself. Any unauthorized repair efforts can void the warranty. Additionally, if another company tries to fix a shutter installed by us, this will also void the warranty. For any issues, please contact our authorized service team to ensure your warranty remains valid.

YES, shutters require maintenance! If you have a motorized product like a roll-down shutter or screen, it’s important to open and close it at least once a week—or at minimum, once a month. Similar to a car, you need to "start the engine" regularly to keep all components functioning properly.
For all shutters we offer, clean the tracks using a leaf blower to remove dirt and debris. Follow this by rinsing the shutter with light soapy water. After cleaning, lubricate the tracks with a dry silicone spray—not WD-40, as it tends to become sticky, especially in Florida’s weather.
Accordion shutters should also be opened and closed routinely and sprayed with lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
Regular maintenance reduces the need for repairs and service calls. We offer professional maintenance services for all types of shutters. To schedule a service, give us a call, send an email, or fill out the service form.

Our warranty covers motor defects for a period of 5 years. However, the warranty becomes void if the motor or any electrical components are exposed to water, acts of God, or abnormal conditions. Labor costs related to warranty repairs are covered only within the first year from the date of installation.
Defective aluminum components are covered for a lifetime warranty. This coverage is void if the aluminum parts are damaged due to normal wear and tear, flying debris, rain, acts of God, or damage caused by acts of God. Additionally, if objects are left under or in the path of a shutter while closing, resulting in damage, the warranty will be voided.
Please note that any repairs or modifications made to the shutters by individuals other than authorized personnel from HomeShield Industries will void the warranty. To ensure your warranty remains valid, all maintenance and repairs must be performed exclusively by our certified technicians.
Please note that our warranty does not cover any maintenance, which is the responsibility of the buyer or homeowner.
